Checkpoint is a web based site access and control reporting system. It has been designed for the rail industry by rail professionals to enhance the management of commercial and project performance on worksites.
C&G Systems designed Checkpoint for the rail industry to enhance the management of safety and project performance on clients worksites, and allow them to manage projects and contractors whilst meeting obligations of recording staff on site, including time spent on site, travel time and fatigue monitoring.
Reporting functions allow reports to be run on sign in/out of site, productivity, delays to works, hidden exceedance, accidents & incidents (including close calls).
Checkpoint was originally developed to ensure compliance with CDM regulations 2007 regulation 22 and of course the ORR.
It was then adapted to take into account further HSE, NWR and ORR regulations on fatigue monitoring and staff working no more than 12 hours and travelling no more than 1 hour either way.
Network Rail audits required clients to have a fully functional site control log with weather report etc (again this was brought into use within the checkpoint system). The system has been endorsed by clients’ SHEQ Advisors, Project Teams, Commercial Teams and Network Rail Project Management.
