RAIL INTERMEDIARY CONSULTANCY
INFO
We have been providing a Rail Intermediary Consultancy, where we act as a consultant on behalf of local authorities and other outside parties (utilities etc) where they have a project that interfaces with the rail network and they will need track access (footbridge painting, removal of cables, bridge works, park and ride car parks etc).
Local Authorities, Utilities, House Builders etc are deemed as being ‘Outside Parties’ to Network Rail, and we support them and their designers to ensure the rail operations and technical elements of their projects meet Network Rail’s requirements and standards. Each project successfully delivered.
C&G Systems would act on your behalf as the intermediary between you and Network Rail. We would build up an Access Strategy based on your requirements, identifying how and when you can gain access. This strategy will be built up after a review of your intended programme and means tested by C&G Systems in line with Network Rail’s procedures, processes and standards.
We provide an intermediary consultancy where we have operations managers that liaise directly with Network Rail’s Asset Protection Team on the Outside Parties’ behalf. We know what their requirements are, so when it comes to documentation being submitted, eliminates the to-ing and fro-ing and makes things far more efficient. Effectively it means the Outside Party has a rail expert sitting in their corner, acting in the best interests of them.
This service helps Outside Parties’ procurement process and budget setting process for projects. The savings both in terms of financial and time can be substantial to these organisations and would give them certainty and confidence that they are only paying for what they need.
